1000 Londoners: Legendary Londoners Animation Workshop
Bring History to Life: Animation Summer Project for Young Creatives (Ages 10-12)
This summer, step into the world of imagination, creativity, and London’s rich history at our three-day stop motion animation project, running 3–5 August 2025 at Nine Elms Studio, Battersea.
Aimed at young people aged 10 to 12, this exciting hands-on experience invites you to uncover the stories of fascinating Londoners from the past—and bring them to life through the magic of animation!
Each day from 10am to 5pm, you’ll explore legendary local characters, choose a historical figure that inspires you, and work as a team to create your very own animated short. At 4pm on the 5th August, parents will be invited to view the premiere screening of the new films!
Over the three days you’ll dive into arts and crafts, voice acting, script writing, storyboarding, and of course, stop motion animation—learning industry techniques in a fun, supportive environment. No experience is needed—just your creativity and curiosity.
Best of all, your film could become part of the iconic 1000 Londoners project and be shared on its website, joining a growing archive that celebrates the stories that shape our city.
Whether you're an aspiring filmmaker, artist, performer, or just looking for a fun and meaningful summer activity, this is your chance to learn new skills, make new friends, and animate history like never before.
Limited places available—book now and let your creativity take centre stage!
If your child is unable to attend due to cost, please get in touch as under certain circumstances we can offer discretionary support with payment.
