Since running our first workshop in 2003, we’ve developed a myriad of ways to teach filmmaking to all first-time and non-professional filmmakers. Our workshops follow the process of film production, from the initial idea all the way to the edit. The workshop participants are the directors, editors, writers, performers and crew, actively driving the project, every step of the way.
We design workshops for all ages and ability levels. So far, the youngest person to participate in one of our workshops was 2, and the oldest was 104. Filmmaking is a fantastic mix of creativity and technical skills, often including sessions on art, performance, creative writing and IT skills so there’s something for everybody.
TAUGHT BY PROFESSIONAL FILMMAKERS
Our workshops are facilitated by professional filmmakers. Our team split their time between making films for high profile clients at Chocolate Films Productions, and running workshops for Chocolate Films Workshops. This means that that the filmmakers are constantly sharing real-world experience with the participants.
